Hello everyone!
I am Gina and I am 21 years old. This is where I will be sharing updates from now until my launch date and during my 11 months on the field.
As I am writing this, I am currently finishing up my last semester at Crossroads Leadership College in Lafayette, LA where I will be graduating with a bachelors in Theology with Westcoast Bible College this June.
Louisiana wasn’t always home for me. I was actually born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and was raised there until the age of 9. During my time there, I attended an international school full of diversity but transitioning from Central America to Ball, LA was a major culture shock. My mom and little sister, which I consider my two very best friends, made everything worth it. In our household, it’s always been just us three ladies and we love it!
Fast forward 8 years and I am making my move to Cajun Country, also known as Lafayette, LA to begin my freshman year of college at the University of Louisiana Lafayette. My time there was a pivotal point in my walk with the Lord. It was during that time that I recognized God had placed a calling on my life; to love Him with everything I have.
The Lord has been SO GOOD to me and I stay in awe of how well He loves His children. The world race is a dream that is quickly becoming a reality and I AM SO EXCITED! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t scared, but I know this is something the Lord has placed on my heart and I am so thankful for it. Just the thought of having the amazing opportunity to live life with people who are willing to go out on the field with open hands and hearts gets me pumped to see what all the Lord will do! If you would have told me 4 or even 2 years ago that I would be doing this, I would straight up not believe you. But now, there is not an ounce in my spirit that could even fathom not doing the race.
Again, this blog will be filled with updates while I am on and off the field and I would absolutely love for you to subscribe! Additionally, it would be an honor to have you partner with me in this journey prayerfully, financially, or both. Each one of you plays a huge role in helping me pursue the call God’s placed on my life and you are very much appreciated.
Thank you!
Gina:)
